It's Riobamba! At our September meeting we decided to work out of that city in the highlands of central Ecuador. At our monthly meetings we'll keep brainstorming for the 2010 trip, scheduled for February 6-20. Fundraising ideas welcomed. Our recent trip in February 2009 to Cotacachi was a great success.
If you have skills that you'd like to share on a mission trip, please let us know. Medical, dental, Spanish, maintenance, teaching, etc.-- all are welcome and we are open to creative ideas.

Riobamba is located in the central highlands of Ecuador, at 9000 feet, so expect cool nights and warm days. At about 100 miles south of the equator, the sun will be straight up at noon. Wear a hat!
We'll spend our nights in a hotel in Riobamba or perhaps in a smaller town such as Cajabamba. The clinic team(s) will work daily in various small villages while the surgical team will work at a single hospital for the two weeks.
The mission will be medical-surgical-dental, hosted again by Medical Ministry International (MMI).
