The Board Members of the HCMM met (October 16, 2007) and decided the following:
MMI (Medical Ministry International) provides volunteer missionary medical evacuation/travel insurance to participants (as noted in application). This is part of the participation fee. For any other questions pertaining to this, please check with MMI www.mmint.org. In the meantime I will also try to validate this.
If you should need any other type of insurance either medical and/or travel, please contact your current insurer and/or Emily Muise at Hewin’s Travel (See below).
The HCMM has already sent a check to Hewin’s Travel to hold 25 seats for February 9th out of Bangor, Maine. If you should choose to extend your stay and need to change tickets, please contact Emily Muise at Hewin’s Travel (below).
Due to group fundraising efforts some of you may have earned contributions from our (HCMM) fund to go towards the airfare.
If you are paying by credit card, please contact Hewin’s Travel. If you would like to get a tax refund, then having donations paid directly to HCMM will get you a tax deduction and we then will pay for ticket from your donations.
MMI (Medical Ministry International) will need your project fees to be sent to them no later than one month before departure (no later than January 10, 2008). Once again, due to fundraising efforts, some of you may have contributions from our funds. The cost of the Project fee for Ecuador – February 2008 is $1075.00. Some of you may wish to pay directly to MMI with a credit card (this will also be tax deductible) or use donations.
Each member of the HCMM Team will receive his or her airline "E" ticket confirmations at the January meeting. If you are unable to attend, we will get the "E" ticket and all other pertinent information to you.
