Join Us!
Our medical mission is entirely non-profit, volunteer powered, and welcomes your support.  We have 501(c)(3) status and all contributions are cheerfully received as well as tax deductible.

We are funded by generous supporters such as you, perhaps, and by heroic efforts of our volunteers, who raise money in several creative ways.

We sell hand-knit sweaters from South America (we have lots on hand),  jewelry, scarves, handbags, and other crafts.  Look for our booth at local fairs, or call Mary at (207) 565-3882.

Some of our nurses get together each year in a labor of love and sew a beautiful quilt ("Around the World" pattern) to raffle off.   For information or tickets, call Judy at (207) 483-4578.

Local businesses contribute their wares and services for our Fourth of July Silent Auction in Bar Harbor.   If you would like your business to be represented, call Deb at (207) 367-5565.

Local hospitals contribute medical supplies and equipment for our work.  Last year, for example, Mount Desert Island Hospital donated an anesthesia machine for a hospital in Catamayo, Ecuador where we had worked in 1999 and 2000.

Pharmaceutical companies often give drug samples in quantity.

The Bible Society of Maine has provided grants for Spanish bibles and Sunday school material for distribution by local churches in Ecuador and Bolivia.

Would you care to contribute?  Please contact Susan, our treasurer, at (207) 359-4402 for information, or send a check to:
